Raw chocolate cookie dough recovery protein balls
The perfect snack for after a workout!
Macros(approx 16 balls): 250 calories, 3g fat, 15g carbs, 40g protein
Ingredients:
- 70g chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 30g fat free cottage cheese
- 20g whey protein powder (I used vanilla)
- 20g chocolate casein protein powder
- 5g psyllium husks
- 15g unsweetened almond milk
- Pinch of salt
Method:
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor until smooth
- Put mix in the fridge for 15 mins
- Scoop out a teaspoon full of batter and roll into balls
- Put in the fridge for 60 mins if possible
these look so good! just wondering it it will make a difference if i use all whey protein instead of casein

ReplyDeleteYes it will make a difference, it won't work! You will end up with a very runny mixture that won't form into balls. You could possibly sub the casein protein for coconut flour though
DeleteI was wondering if i could sub psyllium powder for the husks? would i have to use less if i did this?? thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've never used psyllium powder before so sorry I'm not really sure. I definitely encourage you to give it a go though!! if you do, let me know how it turns out :)
